Job Description:
Summary:
The person in this position will work with project teams providing electrical engineering and related technical expertise. Work may include basic engineering calculations and analysis, developing details of design, assisting in the design of solutions, monitoring construction projects, and preparing drawings, specifications, and sketches. Work may involve tasks related to power distribution and controls and instrumentation.

NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided. Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.

Minimum Qualifications:
- GPA of at least 3.2/4.0
- Electrical or other related engineering major
- At least two semesters of physics and three semesters of mathematics
- Junior or senior standing, with a minimum of one full-time semester of undergraduate or graduate course work remaining after the internship
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office software
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Conscientiousness concerning the accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of results
- Thorough, organized, detail-oriented approach
- A flexible working style and the ability to work both independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- GPA of at least 3.5
- Degree with a focus in power systems
