Position summary
Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is looking for an AMS Process and System Analyst to join their high performing team based in our North Ryde office in Sydney NSW.

The Asset Management Systems Team (AMS) provides key support to the business through managing and maintaining the Asset Management System, driving innovation, delivering new technology and data analytics tools to increase business Asset Management Capability.

About the role

The AMS Process and Systems Analyst will take an active role in developing, managing and updating the suite of Asset Management System processes that drive standardisation, increase system utilisation, provide governance, and support users, ensuring the system is utilised to its full potential. This role will interact with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of standardised ways of working and drive continuous improvement. Working within the Operational Readiness Team the focus of this role is to help Downer achieve its vision to be the industry leading asset maintenance provider, through the implementation and optimisation of digital tools and analytics.

You will develop, own and maintain the suite of business processes required to support the AMS, and identified change programs of work aligned with The Downer Standard. Work closely with users to influence and drive system utilization exploiting business system capability to implement into the business processes. In addition, the role will support BAU requirements of implemented solutions and support the development and implementation of a Downer Rail 5yr strategy.

We are looking for someone who has proven experience in developing and implementing business processes in an Operational/Engineering or IT environment. Also, someone that can support new systems and technology implementation for various projects from a BAU perspective ie user access, software configuration issues, enhancements etc.

About you
  • Minimum 5 years in an Operational or Engineering environment
  • Business / Engineering / Continuous Improvement and/or relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in business process development
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience using an Asset Management System in an operational environment - mobility products (Maximo or equivalent)
  • Understanding of change management principles and document control processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of Financial, Engineering, Operational and Workforce data
  • Knowledge and understanding of Asset Management Systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL data query creation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and oral
  • MS Visio or equivalent process modelling software experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
