You will be a part of our Project Delivery Group - Mechanical, where we ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead the definition of the mechanical scope
  • Lead the mechanical engineering team and ensure delivery of project requirements, cost and schedule following Nuclear Quality Management System
  • Review and approve system analyses, establish user requirements, confirm system functional and performance requirements, define designcriteriaand provide input to the design team on layout and designs
  • Review and approve engineering calculations
  • Conduct interface management between related systems and disciplines
  • Manage and review engineering work packages associated with project deliverables
  • Prepare,reviewor approve technical deliverables
  • Prepare,reviewand contribute to technical memos and reports
  • Prepare and issue design completion assurance certificates
  • Prepare and issue analysis statements and engineering reports registration & fitness for service assessments
  • Provide input into engineering, operating, capital cost estimates, design criteria, 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings
  • Participate in and contribute to design reviews
  • Assist/lead in the completion, delivery of monthly engineering status reports, technical queries during construction
  • Assist in the commissioning of systems when required


You bring to the role:

  • B.Sc./B.Eng.in mechanical engineering
  • Registration as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to obtain
  • Minimum 8 years of project engineering experience specific to nuclear projects
  • Valid CanadianSecurity Intelligence Service (CSIS) security clearance, or be able to obtain
  • Experience withthe Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS)
  • Highly knowledgeableinCSA nuclear standards N285, N286, N299
  • Experienced with ASME B31.1 power piping and B31.5 refrigeration Piping and Heat Transfer
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in client engagement as amechanicallead
  • The ability to lead, mentor and supervise junior and intermediate engineers
