 You will be a part of our Project Delivery Group - Mechanical, where we ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Responsibilities will include,but not be limited to:

  • Assist or lead the definition of mechanical project scope
  • Ensure delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule while following the Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS)
  • Perform and review system analyses, establish user requirements, analyze system functional and performance requirements, define design criteria andprovieinput to the design team on layouts and designs
  • Prepare engineering calculations
  • Develop and review engineering work packages inprojectsbudgets and schedules
  • Prepare and review technical deliverables, contribute to technical memos and reports
  • Prepare design completion assurance certificates, analysis statements and engineering reports for registration & fitness of service assessments
  • Support classification of nuclear and non-nuclear code boundaries
  • Seal documentation required with regulatory bodies for registration of systems such as CRN’s
  • Provide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimates
  • Prepare and review project standard specifications, design criteria, inputto3D models and 2D mechanical drawings
  • Participate in and contribute to design reviews
  • Assist in the compilation and delivery of monthly engineering status reports
  • Assist with technical queries raised during the construction phase
  • Assist in the commissioning of systems on site as required


You bring to the role:

  • B.Sc/B.Engin mechanical engineering
  • Registration as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to obtain
  • Minimum 4 years of project engineering experience related to nuclear EPCM environment
  • Valid CanadianSecurity Intelligence Service (CSIS) security clearance, or be able to obtain
  • Experience in leading small and medium mechanical teams in amulti-disciplinary nuclear projects
  • Experience with the Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS)
  • Proficient in CSA nuclear standards such as N285, N286, N299
  • Familiar with ASME B31.1 Power Piping and B31.5 Refrigeration Piping and Heat Transfer
  • Experience with HVAC and Fire Protection systems in a nuclear environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Abilityto function with minimum supervision
  • Experience in client engagement as a mechanical lead in nuclear projects
  • Familiar with engineering management lead in nuclear projects
