Your role will consist of

  • We align with State and Federal and Newmont Policies and Procedures regarding Safety and Environmental regulations and standard methodology.
  • We troubleshoot, repair and rebuild equipment and machinery related to process operations i.e. Mill, ADR, Crusher etc.
  • We maintain systems and plants and perform different types of repairs as necessary.
  • We replace, align and rebuild various belts, motors, pulleys, pumps and other mechanical components.

Your training, skills and experience checklist

  • Able to drive a motor vehicle, and must possess a valid driver's license with at the least one-year of driving experience
  • Able to read, write and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements.
  • Reliable, consistent work history.
  • Intermediate Maintenance or Mechanical experience is required.


TECH III Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrate ability to consistently follow safety and company policies / procedures, maintain a high level of efficiency, Ability to follow directions, complete quality work, work effectively with other crews/departments and work as a team member. Mill and/or Crusher experience recommended but not required. Ability to come-up with practical solutions to problems.

Working Conditions and location

  • You will work 12-hour rotating shifts from days to nights, or a 10-hour rotating day shift, and on calls.
  • The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.
  • Weather conditions can and do change frequently, and can become severe at times.
  • Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.


The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role is $ 32.90 . The hourly rate is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The hourly rate offer will not be based on a candidate's wage rate history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about wage rate history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
