To provide guidance and technical advice to the national counterpart in order to develop, manage, direct and control the maintenance activities in Mill Auxiliaries Concentrating Electrical, Instrumentation department to ensure maximum plant availability, shutdown projects, maintenance and maintenance shutdown works are within compliance at specified cost, quality and time in order to achieve the targets set by PT. Freeport Indonesia.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety and environmental awareness for him/herself, for Shutdown Projects, Maintenance activities, Contractors and also among the Concentrating Division employees in order to ensure compliances with the company safety and environmental procedures and programs.
  • Review systems operating and diagnostic procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in order to provide standardized guidelines for him/herself and the Shutdown Project group, Maintenance groups.
  • Support General Superintendent to plan, organize, control and direct the maintenance activities within EIA Concentrating Mill Auxiliaries Electrical, including preventive & corrective maintenance, installation of new equipment, equipment/system modification and testing/commissioning activities in order to meet availability & productivity and reliability target of EIA equipment's.
  • Support General Superintendent to develop, maintain and optimize 52 weeks Projects, shutdown schedule and maintenance activities within EIA Concentrating Mill Auxiliaries Electrical.
  • Review, evaluate and maintain Projects, maintenance activities, shutdown work, breakdown structure & work sequence to meet the relevant requirements & targets in a more efficient and effective fashion.
  • Liaise with other Department internal and external of Concentrating Division with regard to Projects, maintenance and shutdown activities of EIA Concentrating Mill Auxiliaries Electrical.
  • Provide shutdown support to maintenance groups of Concentrating EIA Department System to meet equipment availability target.
  • Motivate maintenance crews to participate in necessary training programs to improve and promote their skills and knowledge, which will result in a better skilled team of shutdown projects crew with more positive and useful contribution for the smooth progress of the Projects and maintenance activities.
  • Support General Superintendent to control contractors and consultants to ensure company's requirements are met.
  • Support the General Superintendent to develop annual operation budget, in order to provide a guideline for the forthcoming year for EIA Concentrating Mill Auxiliaries Electrical.
  • Advise General Superintendent on the development, monitoring, evaluation of subordinates, to contribute to the development of a professional team.

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical Instrumentation Engineering and five (5) years of experience in mining or heavy industrial environment -OR- High School diploma or Technical School certificate in Electrical or Electrical Instrumentation with nine (9) years of experience in mining or heavy industrial environment.
    • Preferred experience would include plant and process electrical and/or electrical instrumentation maintenance experience.
    • Strong Managerial and Supervisory skills.
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an underground working environment.
    • Strong analytical thinking skills.
    • Strong human relations skills.
    • Ability to work in a culturally diversified workforce.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • High level communication and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.
