HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
 
Are you looking for a long term position with a stable company? Do you enjoy working with your hands and with large equipment? Lehigh Hanson is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator at our Lakeside location.  This person will operate a front-end loader, dozer, excavator, and/or skidsteer as needed and will perform general labor duties when necessary.  This position will work the 2nd shift.
 
1.  Safety

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Work in all areas of the plant as needed
• Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations
• Report unsafe conditions
• Report accidents or incidents immediately
• Inspect and report mechanical repairs to maintenance department

 
2.   Operations
 

• Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time
• Organize and plan daily duties to maximize efficiency with team
• Perform a daily walk-around inspection and fill out inspection form
• Load a variety of materials to meet legal load limits
• Will perform general labor/utility person duties (shoveling, lifting, clean-up of plant)
• Recognize contaminated material and report unusual conditions to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

 
This position will work overtime and six days a week (Monday - Saturday) and will work the 2nd shift.
 
 
HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
 

• Must have high school diploma or general education (GED) 
• Prefer three to five years of equipment operating experience
• Prefer prior experience working in a mining or construction environment
• Must be able to carry 50 pounds
