Your Role

• To safely and efficiently operate the leaching circuits and systems in support of process operations.

• Comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and Newmont policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Perform all Tech 1 duties proficiently.

• Employees will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe operation. • Assist plant operators in basic plant operations with assistance.

• Able to recognize equipment or systems operating outside normal ranges.

• Only operate equipment or systems for which training has been provided.

• Perform all pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections as required.

• Communicate all pertinent information during shift as required.

• Follow good housekeeping practices.

• Complete all necessary paperwork in a complete and timely manner.

Training & Experience

• 0-1 year previous plant operation, or equivalent experience

• Experience in chemical handling preferred but not required

• Experience in HMI, PLC, or other similar control systems preferred but not required

• Mobile equipment experience preferred but not required Trained and passed circuit test for Process Operations H-5 Circuit + 1 additional circuits within 60 days of hiring date (refer to Line of Progression system for details) .

Working Conditions

• Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations.

• Weather conditions can and do change frequently, and can become severe at times.

• Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.

• Arrive at work site with appropriate gear suitable for weather conditions.

• Able to work as a productive member of a team.

This position has multiple levels (which may range from level 1 up to level 6). The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $Process Operator Tech 1-6. The hourly rate is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The specific level and hourly rate that is offered to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The hourly rate offer will not be based on a candidate's wage rate history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about wage rate history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
