Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will be part of a busy workshop carrying out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to Caterpillar fleets, carrying out repairs and inspections on, but not restricted to Caterpillar fleets, high Standard of weld repairs to Caterpillar equipment.

Your responsibility will involve completing service reports, identifying part requirements and managing work orders. You will be required to carry out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.

This Kalgoorlie residential position will be working 8 days, 6 days off working 10-hour days.

To be successful the following is required:
  • Australian Recognised Boilermaker and/or Welder Trade Certificate with a minimum of 2 years post trade experience
  • Previous experience in MIG/Inner shield welding with Flux core in all position
  • Previous experience with TIG/TIG Toe Welding in all positions
  • Previous experience with ARC Air Gouging
  • Ability to work successfully within a team, autonomously and unsupervised
  • Able to follow and execute Inspection and Test Plans
  • Previously held AS 15/55
  • Familiarity with service reporting and service literature highly regarded
