Senior Project Manager (Manufacturing Facilities)

This position is based out of our office in Exton PA, and reports to our Sr. Director of Project Delivery. It is responsible for managing design projects including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing / fire protection, and process disciplines within biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries.

What will be your contributions?
  • Develop proposals for new work and ensure that deliverable meets the requirements of the proposal.
  • Serve as prime point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Complete project authorizations for project set-up and any changes, Prepare and manage budgets for client, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify scope changes and request change orders in advance of performing work, approve subcontract and supplier invoice, Review client invoices and manage invoice aging.
  • Prepare project status reports, Set agenda for project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Develop construction cost estimates, develop and maintain overall project schedules and manage buyout.
  • Identify and prequalify subcontractors, Review drawings and develop work scopes, Create itemized bid response forms, Tabulate and descope bids.
  • Negotiate subcontract commercial terms.
  • Manage design effort working with discipline leads and design project managers, manage assigned superintendents/construction managers, manage subcontractors including change management.
  • Prepare project forecasts, Oversee the Administration of RFIs and Submittals processes.
  • Communicate with township and code officials as required during the permitting process.
  • Manage project closeout and turnover packages, manage warranty work with owners and subcontractors, manage current key US business relationships with key customers and support the growth of this business.
  • Plan and accomplish goals relying on extensive experience and judgment.
  • Lead and directs the work of others, develop design schedules in MS Project, forecast resource requirements, Establish budgets for each discipline.
  • Set agenda for project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, Track budget and schedule, Serve as prime point of contact for client.
  • Establish communication protocol for projects.
  • Ensure that coordination takes place between members of the project team.
  • Ensure that deliverable meets the requirements of the proposal.
  • Identify scope changes and request change orders in advance of performing work.
  • Develop proposals / design fees for new work.
  • Prepare project status reports.
  • Manage current key US business relationships with key customers and support the growth of this business.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 15yrs experience with biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, chemical and/or food & beverage sectors.
  • Negotiating skills, presentation skills, commercial skills and long-term relationship building are all competencies which need to be well developed for this role.
  • Must have the communication skills necessary to effectively communicate with co-workers and lead a project team.
  • Must be skilled in the Microsoft Office Package; word, excel, project.
  • Good time management skills that can handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
