CSG (Mining) Talent have been engaged by a leading, Perth based, gold producer, with multiple WA assets both underground and surface. They are known for their progressive attitude, strong operational leadership and exceptional results. In a newly created role you will work closely with the Group Underground Leader to develop robust planning for your assigned portfolio of underground mines; leading the onsite mine planning engineers. This is a real opportunity for a mine planning engineer to step up to a senior position with management authority; and into corporate lifestyle with no more FIFO; home every night, working a 5/2 roster.

Interviewing this coming week, I am particularly interested to hear from experienced planning engineers who meet the following attributes:

• Degree Qualification in Mining Engineering;
• First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency; (ideally; else having done your underground time and willing to sit for the FCMMCoC).
• More than 6 years' underground engineering experience, and at least 3 years in Mine Planning
• Proficient user in Deswik CAD, IS, & SCHED
• Exposure to Surpac, and or equivalent software design packages is desirable
• Experience working closely with operations to achieve the medium-term planning
• Ability to attend to site from time to time to support operations
• A valid drivers licence.

In this newly create role, that has exceptional senior leadership corporate visibility, you will devise continuous improvement by applying innovative technologies; train and develop other engineers and graduates that come through the business; devise modelling for project based development works in ventilation, dewatering etc; work closely with the geology and geotechnical teams creating seamless delivery as a technical services unit; and completion of extraction notes etc, etc..
