The role is available on a FIFO 8/6 basis, ex Perth

Interviewing this coming week, I am particularly interested to hear from experienced planning engineers who meet the following attributes:

• Degree Qualification in Mining Engineering;
• First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency; (ideally; else having done your underground time and willing to sit for the FCMMCoC).
• Extensive underground mining experience with excellent knowledge in the fields of production, ventilation, projects, paste fill, planning and scheduling;
• Exposure to a variety of different ore body types and models - preferably utilising long hole open stoping mining methods with paste fill;
• Experience with managing contract mining service providers;
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Deswik CAD and Scheduler;
• Valid drivers licence.

You will play a critical role undertaking underground medium and long-term mine design, scheduling and evaluation work, including design of all 'project' aspects of an underground mine including ventilation, dewatering, backfill, electrical and other infrastructure systems.

Your planning will enable the business to make informed decisions by identifying, planning, and communicating extraction strategies, critical path and high exposure areas as part of an iterative scenario planning process.
