The Superintendent, Human Resources is responsible assisting in the planning and coordination of various employee relations programs, benefits, employee policies and procedures, recruitment, performance and disciplinary action, and other programs as needed. Lead specific areas such as Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Recruitment and Mobilization, and Training and Development.
This position works closely with hiring managers, job candidates, external recruiters and agencies to support the business. This position will execute the Redpath Talent Strategy. The candidate will ensure that we have the right people in place to continue developing Redpath's talent capability across Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
Education and Experience
Required: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent related experience
Preferred: Degree in Human Resources , Business or equivalent
Required: Minimum of 5-10 years of human resources, talent management and organizational development/design experience
Preferred: 3-5 years supervisor experience preferred - CHRP or CHRL

Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise Senior Management, line supervisors, and employees on all HR matters, including incentives, benefits, and training programs
- Lead and support the recruitment and mobilization team in all areas of workforce planning, and talent management (Source, Align, Develop, Reward)
- Mentor and coach other members of Human Resources department
- Assist all levels of leadership in handling employee relations and recruiting challenges.
- Work closely with HR Manager and Legal to ensure all issues related to employment law are handled fairly and in compliance with local and federal law.
- Work with departments and management to ensure necessary training needs are met (supervisor training, reasonable suspicion, respectful workplace, diversity & inclusion, etc).
- Oversight of the recruitment process to ensure fair and consistent hiring practices are used.
- Provide input to the design of HR programs and initiatives and ensure they are successfully implemented and understood.
- May be required to lead or participate in workplace investigations
- Occasional travel for site visits and training purposes
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to employee and candidate related information
- Support in all areas of Human Resources, as required
Education and Experience
