Primary Responsibilities:
  • Underground geological mapping and grade control;
  • Ore outlines for both development headings and long hole stopes;
  • Long hole stopes tonnes and grade optimization;
  • Follow up on daily underground tonnes and grade production from both long hole stopes and development ore;
  • Digitizing of mapping and sampling of a designated the area;
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reports;
  • Reviewing and analyzing mining and Diamond drilling data for grade estimation and ore delineation using Vulcan and AutoCAD software;
  • Production reconciliation;
  • Core logging and sampling as required;
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility; and
  • Any other duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • BSc in Geology from a recognized Canadian University or equivalent;
  • Minimum 1-2 years in underground gold mine geology;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vulcan or other geological software is a benefit;
  • Exposure to DH-Logger and fusion software is a benefit;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong Safety focus;
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Schedule: 5-2 (Monday - Friday)
