Reporting into the Payroll Manager Atlantic, you will be responsible to support and deliver on the following :
  • Accountable for the delivery of CAD and US payroll related services ( Master data alignment as well) are efficient and effectively delivered for certain PGs in Rio Tinto
  • Accountable of our compliance obligation, its completeness and periodic maintenance. Liaise with our compliance team, and ensure our internal controls are performed and remain compliant to regulatory needs and per SOX.
  • You are the reference for payroll rules/regulations/applicability
  • Manage a TEAM and ensure continued engagement at all level of your team, to continuously deliver to our most important asset: our workforce.
  • Responsible of any second level escalations
  • Accountable to deliver on internal and external statutory audit requirements
  • Accountable to ensure our outsource payroll provider performs per our SLA/KPIs and responsible to assure efficient and effective delivery of payroll on time and accurate.
  • Be the single point of contact within our HR teams and Benefits teams to solve complexe problèmes and manage the scope's expectations.
  • You will work in a large, specialized HR and Finance group, that works globally and regionally. You will be accountable to understand all upstream and downstream processes related to payroll and support our stakeholders.
  • You are a proven leader that support his team to ensure deliver the payroll and master data activites for specific scopes.
  • You will be responsible of Year End activities and work with the payroll advisers/officers to ensure compliance and completeness on time.
  • Accountable to communicate and test all IT changes and work with IT Teams to ensure our systems are compliant and remain up to date
  • Accountable to ensure our Desktop procedure are accurate and review is performed periodically
  • Participate in Continuous improvement initiative in the Shared service payroll area.

What you will bring

It will also be beneficial to have the following:
  • Bachelor in HR, in business or accounting/finance; College degree with lots of experience
  • Have 10-15 years' experience in leading payroll delivery
  • CPA designation (CPM)
  • Good knowledge of the payroll laws and rules in CAD and in USA
  • Bilingual necessary
  • Has managed payroll including unionized employees
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and leadership skills
  • Good understand of labor agreements and its application in systems
  • Have worked with SAP Payroll
  • Has performed and owned Payroll Year End activities
  • Has worked with and understand SOP/DTP desktop procedure
  • Has worked in a Shared service environment for a large company
  • Worked in a project environment or has knowledge of it
  • Have worked in an outsourcing work environment
  • Manages simple and complex problem and has a positive mindset

Relevant du chef de service de la paie, Atlantique, vous serez chargé de soutenir et de mettre en Å"uvre ce qui suit :
  • Responsable d'assurer que la prestation de services liée à  la paie en dollars canadiens et américains (et également la correspondance avec les données de base) est efficace et mise en Å"uvre avec efficacité pour certains groupes de produits de Rio Tinto.
  • Responsable de notre obligation à  l'égard de la conformité, de son exhaustivité et de son examen périodique. Assurer la liaison avec notre équipe de la conformité et assurer que nos contrà´le internes sont réalisés et demeurent conformes aux exigences réglementaires et à  la SOX.
  • Agir à  titre de personne-ressource pour les règles, la réglementation et l'applicabilité en matière de paie.
  • Gérer une équipe et assurer l'engagement continu à  tous les niveaux de l'équipe pour répondre sans cesse aux besoins de notre plus important atout : notre effectif.
  • Responsable des processus de recours hiérarchique de deuxième niveau.
  • Responsable de mettre en Å"uvre les exigences de vérification internes et externes prescrites.
  • Responsable d'assurer que notre fournisseur externe de services de paie s'exécute conformément à  notre ANS/IRC et d'assurer un service de paie efficace et précis dans les délais prévus.
  • Servir de point de contact unique au sein de nos équipes des RH et des avantages sociaux pour régler les problèmes complexes et gérer la portée des attentes.
  • Vous travaillerez au sein d'un grand groupe de RH et de finances spécialisé à  l'échelle mondiale et régionale. Vous serez responsable de comprendre tous les processus en amont et en aval liés à  la paie et de soutenir nos intervenants.
  • Vous àªtes un dirigeant expérimenté qui soutient son équipe afin d'assurer la réalisation des activités liées à  la paie et aux données de base de portée précise.
  • Vous serez responsable des activités de fin d'année et de travailler avec les conseillers/agents de la paie pour assurer la conformité et l'exhaustivité dans les délais prévus.
  • Responsable de communiquer et de mettre à  l'essai tous les changements des TI et de travailler avec les équipes des TI pour assurer que nos systèmes sont conformes et demeurent à  jour.
  • Responsable d'assurer que nos procédures courantes sont exactes et qu'un examen est mené périodiquement.
  • Participer à  l'initiative d'amélioration continue au sein du secteur des services partagés en lien avec la paie.

Ce que vous apporterez

Il sera également avantageux de posséder ce qui suit :
  • Baccalauréat en RH, en administration des affaires ou en comptabilité/finances; diplà´me collégial avec beaucoup d'expérience
  • De dix à  quinze années d'expérience dans la direction des services de paie
  • Titre de CPA (GAP)
  • Bonne connaissance des règles et des lois régissant la paie au Canada et aux États-Unis
  • Bilinguisme nécessaire
  • Expérience dans la gestion de la paie, y compris des employés syndiqués
  • Bonnes aptitudes en communications et en relations interpersonnelles et compétences en leadership
  • Bonne connaissance des conventions collectives et de leur application dans divers systèmes
  • Expérience avec le système de paie SAP
  • Expérience dans les activités de fin d'année et la responsabilité de ces activités
  • Compréhension et expérience des procédures courantes/MAP
  • Expérience dans un environnement de services partagés au sein d'une grande entreprise
  • Expérience dans un environnement de projet ou connaissance d'un tel environnement
  • Expérience dans un environnement d'impartition du travail
  • Gestion de problèmes simples et complexes et attitude positive
