Our client, an ASX-listed mining company, is developing a number of nickel operations in Western Australia and will play a significant role in the West Australian shift in the increased production of battery metals to support the electrification of vehicles. On their behalf, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced mining engineer to play a pivotal role in one of their operations near Kalgoorlie/Kambalda.
Reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development of short and medium term plans as well as the day-to-day operations of the mine, including the supervision of the mine contractor, and ancillary project work. This is a wide-ranging role and will appeal to a high performer that relishes in the responsibility of undertaking a wide variety of functions.
You will be a degree-qualified Mining Engineer with between 3 and 5 years of underground experience, together with demonstrable strong verbal and written communication skills. You will relish the opportunity of undertaking a wide range of duties associated with the shorter-term planning and scheduling of mine activities as well as play a very active role in daily production engineering and general project work.
