Team Leader – Undercarriage and Radiator

About the role
WesTrac is seeking an experienced and team orientated Team Leader for our brand-new Undercarriage and Radiator department. This department will be located at our state of the art facility in Tomago.
Reporting to the Area Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting the workshop supervisor to ensure effective operations of the new undercarriage and radiator department. You will be performing a range of general duties such as overseeing staff, stripping, inspecting, overhauling and resembling the undercarriages and radiators. You will be working on a variety of CAT equipment, some of these include; Undercarriages of tracked machinery: such as drills, dozers, hydraulic mining shovels and Radiators: from Off-highway trucks, graders, dozers, loaders and drills. This could range from construction, civil and mining equipment.
You don’t necessarily need CAT experience, as we can teach all things CAT, however we do require transferable experience and knowledge in a very similar industry.
The roster which will be available will be a Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts, however this will be temporary until we get this new department up and running. As soon as we do have the department up and running, we will have a rotating roster available.

Skills and Experience
- Plant Mechanic, Engineering, Mechanical Trade qualification or similar
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Natural leadership qualities
- Ability to work independently
- Supportive and “can do” attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Current forklift license (not essential as we can provide the training)
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment
