About the role
As our Assistant Contract Engineer - Sealing, you will be a part of a team that maintains 25,000 kms worth of roads in Aotearoa. With over 150 years of projects and knowledge under our belts, our vision is innovative and future focussed. We are building sustainable communities that you can be proud to say that you have been a part of producing.

This is a varied role that will prove to be both challenging and rewarding as you embark on a collaborative journey designing, planning, and executing a range of road resurfacing projects.

You will work within a supportive Canterbury / Tasman regional team, as an integral part of the South Island Sealing team, to deliver excellence on contract objectives whilst also optimising resource use, championing a Zero Harm work culture, and ensuring stakeholder relationships are enhanced to maximise our commercial success.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our close-knit team in Christchurch where you will be provided the opportunity to build a successful career with New Zealand's leading Infrastructure provider.

About you
To be successful within this role we are looking for a team player who will bring with them the following skills and experience:

• Strong experience using MS Office, with Microsoft Project preferable,
• Experienced in project financial management and reporting
• Current Full Drivers' Licence
• Ability to work across geographical boundaries
• Preferably hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or currently or with an interest at working towards one
• Experience within Surfacing advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all team members
