Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Document Control Technician to join our Turquoise Ridge team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Controls Specialist, the Document Control Technician, a successfull candidate will provide document control support to the Third Shaft execution team. They will be responsible for the following:
  • Serve as lead administrator and super user in Livelink/Share Point document control system following the guidelines set forth in the Corporate Document Control Standards
  • Facilitate the moving of current server content into the appropriate folders within the designed depository structure
  • Work closely with Cortez site departments to ensure the folder structure, naming and document placement is correct and intuitive
  • Provide both one on one and group training in Livelink/Share
  • Point for content navigation, editing, storage and viewing
  • Manage and maintain the proper naming convention, hierarchy Folder structure, attributes and indexing of documents
  • Continued structure and design improvements in Livelink/ Share Point as the database grows
  • Work closely with the Growth & Project Development Groups to ensure Livelink/Share Point stays within the guidelines of the standards
  • Foster a positive and effective working relationship with site personnel
  • Maintain good working relationships with external suppliers and contractors
  • Build productive networks with colleagues at other sites, as well as externally to Nevada Gold Mines, within the North American region
  • Maintain a close working relationship with Regional/ Corporate personnel as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree preferred (experience in lieu acceptable)
  • Experience Mentoring and Training others required
  • Clerical or other relevant office environment skills required
  • Demonstrated Safety Leadership for both self and a team required
  • Database Management, Train the Trainer or Equivalent Programs preferred
  • Document Control System software required
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook) required
  • Knowledge of data collection, storage and report building required
  • Primavera-6 Scheduling Software preferred
  • Familiarity of Oracle or similar CMMS systems preferred
