Who we are looking for:

A Processing Manager to lead the Process Production and Technical teams to deliver safe and sustainable operational performance through a focus on maintaining best practice process plant operations whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Further to this, a core aspect of the role will be to continue to build the capabilities of the Vietnamese national team and advance the nationalization process already underway.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement the agreed strategy for the Process Plant and ensure alignment with the organization’s overall strategy by setting production goals and policy with the Site Leadership Team.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards pertaining to Process Plant operations to achieve production and operating cost goals
  • Prepare annual operating plans and budgets, as well as monthly forecasts
  • Develop systems and measures that appropriately assess and report Process Production performance to ensure goal achievement.
  • Maintain costs by controlling labor, power, and supplies while achieving production targets.
  • Lead the Processing Technical team to ensure technical direction is in line with Processing Plant operational requirements.
  • Through the Processing Production team and in partnership with the Maintenance Department, ensure Process Plant shutdowns are conducted in a safe and timely manner, align production/maintenance priorities and enable preventative maintenance programs to be successful.
  • Direct activities to achieve production goals by setting performance targets and measuring accordingly.
  • Through the Processing Production & Technical teams and in partnership with the Metallurgy Department, ensure improvement projects and research projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture across the Process Plant that engages at all levels to ensure this approach is embedded in how the team operates.
  • Manage the onsite Assay Laboratory through the Processing Technical team to accomplish the goal of timely and accurate completion of analytical activities for all customers within budgeted costs.
  • Perform personnel administration functions including hiring employees, conducting performance reviews, administering disciplinary action, and directing career development of employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
  • Actively develops direct reports and help overcome organizational and cultural barriers.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Comply with and implement all company policies and procedures.

We are looking for qualified and driven individuals who have:

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing or Chemical/Chemistry
  • A minimum of 12 years related work experience in the minerals industry.
  • The preferred candidate must have formal professional designation in the area of expertise & increasing levels of responsibility in Process Plant operations over their career.
  • Must have previous work experience at Processing Plant Management level.
  • Previous expatriate working experience in challenging locations is highly advantageous.

  • This is a permanent, full-time role offered on a residential basis with relocation timing dependent on the Covid-19 situation and the roster to be worked will be on a short rotation 2 and 1 equivalent base. The site is located approximately 1.5hrs from Hanoi – Vietnam’s Capital and is accessible via the national freeway.
