About the role We are looking for a Superintendent Asset Management for our Gudai-Darri mine site to support the operation to produce iron ore in a safe and cost effective manner. This role will lead the team that governs reliability, assurance, defect elimination and the maintenance planning process across Fixed Plant, Heavy Mobile Equipment, and Site Services.

This role is a great opportunity to demonstrate your strong leadership and understanding of work management and your fixed/mobile plant operational experience. You will be the primary business partner between site operations, central engineering and the capital project team. Working a 5,2,4,3 FIFO roster from Perth and reporting to the Manager, Asset Management & Engineering Services, you will be:
  • Improving the safety outcomes and behaviours of the planning and engineering teams;
  • Managing, maintaining and improving the maintenance systems, processes and procedures ensuring that they are standardised and embedded across site;
  • Delivering accurate plans & schedules, budget forecasts and reliability improvement projects.
  • Responsible for the allocation of engineering resources to support the defect elimination process
  • Upskilling teams so they are accountable for their own processes and procedures;
  • A valued partner of our site operation and maintenance execution teams.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Current "C Class "for WA Driver's license;
  • A degree in Engineering or relevant Trade Certificate;
  • Strong Asset Management subject matter knowledge and experience;
  • Highly experienced with work management systems and processes;
  • Experience in defining and implementing reliability improvement initiatives;
  • Working knowledge of mining HME will be advantageous but not essential as we are open to experience from other heavy industries such as oil/gas, aviation and manufacturing;
  • Strong decision making capability along with ability to work autonomously;
  • Ability to lead, influence and motivate;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Post graduate studies in Maintenance/Asset Management;
  • Working knowledge in SAP.

This position is based at our Gudai-Darri operation. Located 160km North-West of Newman, our Gudai-Darri Operation has a dedicated airport, state-of-the-art camp facilities and family friendly rosters making it an exciting and pleasant place to work.
