A bit about your role:

This role entails working as part of a dedicated maintenance crew delivering the most efficient and quality-driven service to our clients. Key duties include routine and planned preventative maintenance on Wastewater Treatment & Reticulation assets such as air valves, pressure mains, pump stations and treatment plants, as well as responding to urgent call outs throughout the Auckland region.

Each day will be different doing things such as; checking pumps, pressure, tank levels, cleaning filters, repairs and checking disposal field timers & electronics.

Reporting to the Auckland Pump Station Mechanical & Electrical Manager, you will work on a 1-in-4 on-call roster (once a month approx.)

A bit about you:

To be successful in this role you will need to have a can-do attitude, be adaptable and flexible in your work approach with attention to detail, and strong customer service focus.

• A full driver's licence and class 2 licence would be preferred
• Underground services (water or drainage) maintenance experience
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems preferred not essential
• Qualification and/or experience in the operation of water and drainage treatment & reticulation
• Strong communication skills
• Uses Initiative (able to solve problem as they occur without reference to Manager)
• Self-motivated, energetic, proactive and results-orientated
• Strong focus on Health and Safety
• A great attitude, willing to learn new skills and build a stable, safe career!
