Our client is seeking an experienced Long Term Mine Planning Engineer. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this key role will participate in the long range mine planning and guide the Life of Mine plan. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental best practices.
- Deliver medium to long range mine designs and schedules to guide operations and the Life of Mine Plan.
- Develop viable resource extraction strategies aligned with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to create and implement long term and life of mine planning.
- Monitor current plans, analyze relevant data and identify risks to recommend appropriate adjustments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior members.
Minimum Requirements
- A degree in Mine Engineering or relevant field, Professional Engineering designation preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in longhole stoping.
- Advanced capabilities with MS Office, AutoCAD and Deswik.
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
