Our client in British Columbia has an immediate need for an experienced HR Generalist to provide HR services and guidance to site employees and the leadership team. Reporting to the HR Manager, HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support on all aspects of Human Resources including the collective bargaining agreement. This is an ideal opportunity for an HR Professional looking for a dynamic organization with great work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, implement and monitor HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support for all employee related matters, including benefits, training and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all aspects of HR consistent and confidential.
  • Identify and recruit new team members as needed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training and succession plans.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all employee files and relevant reports.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a mining environment.
  • CPHR designation would be an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office with top notch communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of OHS as well as employment legislation in British Columbia.
  • Previous experience in a unionized working environment would be an asset.
