Job Duties
•\tReporting directly to the Construction Manager
•\tSupervise and provide oversight for subcontractor personnel
•\tMonitor installation of and/or install data logging equipment
•\tEnsure and supervise subcontractor compliance with and site-specific safety standards, codes, regulations, and assist with the implementation of the site safety program.
•\tAbility to anticipate and solve problems.
•\tSupport with the management of project schedules
•\tHelp with site access, including all site visits and deliveries
•\tAssist with identifying unknown risks, managing risk impact and how they will be executed.
•\tEnsure quality standards are met and participate in the project quality control plan defined tasks
•\tFacilitate in project and business development responsibilities during development and implementation
•\tCollect field information and pictures as necessary
•\tPlan of compliance, morning meetings and scheduling.
•\tAbility to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve them
Requirements
•\tBachelor's degree preferred, specifically in engineering, construction management or related qualified experience
•\tExperience in Pharmaceutical, Laboratory, and Clean Environment Projects
•\tOSHA-30 certification is preferred
•\tExperience of RFI logging.
•\tExperience with building energy systems including HVAC, controls, central utilities, electrical, and M&P
•\tExperience in energy systems project implementation, including performance contracts, is preferred
•\tA passion in the areas of energy efficiency, alternative energy, and sustainability
•\tExperience with construction, construction management, or on-site field work is preferred
•\tAbility to provide leadership to guide subcontractors to implement energy efficiency measures in accordance with the required scope
•\tSelf-directed personality with a commitment to excellence
•\tDetail oriented and honed observation skill
•\tStrong written and oral communication skills
•\tProve ability to function in high performing, multi-disciplinary teams that provide reliable customer satisfaction
•\tPrepared to work irregular hours during implementation, including night and weekend work
•\tKnowledge and experience with Safety and Quality Control standards and procedures

This position is based out of one of our North East region offices in Pennsylvania or Massachusetts, and reports to our Sr. Director Project Delivery. It is responsible for directing all field personnel and subcontractors to achieve completion of projects on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications on fast paced technically complex design/build projects in the biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries.

What will be your contribution?
  • Chair and document regular project construction meetings.
  • Record daily log of activities and working trade hours.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractor work activities.
  • Schedule inspections and interface with building code officials during construction.
  • Troubleshoot unforeseen field conditions to determine cost effective and timely solutions.
  • Set up and maintain field offices/construction trailers.
  • Maintain and update overall project schedules.
  • Work with project managers to develop rolling four-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Develop “work around” schedules when the proposed logical sequence of events is disrupted.
  • Work with project delivery team and subcontractors to properly administer change work, ensuring that work is not executed until appropriately authorized.
  • Chair and document constructability reviews.
  • Communicate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and project delivery team.
  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards.
  • Ensure all employees and subcontractors are adhering to safety policies.
  • Conduct safety audits.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.

What are we looking for?
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in field supervisory capacity, preferably in construction industries.
  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Project.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • OSHA 10 required, 30 preferred.
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Additional hours may be necessary as workloads dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Assignments require being at client sites for extended periods.
