Rio Tinto's Exploration group seeks to create value for the business by discovering or acquiring new mineral resources. Organized into four regional teams (Americas, Australasia, Africa-Europe and Eurasia), the Exploration group provides both a global reach and a local presence across a range of commodities including bauxite, copper, iron ore, nickel and uranium.

About the Role

An ongoing opportunity exists for an experienced mechanic at Rio Tinto's WINU exploration site.

The successful candidate will be performing maintenance and servicing on the light vehicle fleet as well as generators, pumps, motors and other ancillary equipment as required.Â

Requirements

  • Trade Qualification in Light or Heavy Automotive MechanicsÂ
  • Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
  • 2 years demonstrated experience in a mining environment
  • High Risk WP (mandatory)
  • Working at heights (within 2 years, mandatory)
