Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations. This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, New Hampshire, Michigan, Illinois and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Provide professional-level support for domestic and international compensation programs; including determining appropriate base pay amounts, pay salary survey participation, job evaluations, market pricing, and administering various compensation programs.
  • Determine appropriate base pay offer amounts for both domestic and international locations positions using department compensation tools.
  • Respond to issue escalations from service center as assigned by collaborating with peers to conduct research, investigate inquiries and provide resolution.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc compensation reports as necessary.
  • Administer/oversee position and job code requests. Provide assistance to site HR with job/position code requests.
  • Participate in salary surveys, prepare files for automated salary matching and validate accuracy of market composites.
  • Assist in preparation of analysis to evaluate adjustments to salary structures, and merit matrices.
  • Performing job evaluations to market price positions; utilizing a variety of salary surveys to recommend the appropriate grade and FLSA status for positions across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Works on mostly routine tasks and usually implements solution through individual effort.
  • Collaborates mostly with peers in the same functional area, and/or department and has moderate external interaction
  • Works under frequent supervision and has limited latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines impacting the individual assigned area of work.
  • Has no budget responsibility.
  • Does not manage people, function, projects or programs.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources, and,
  • Two (2) years experience in Compensation or related field. OR
  • H.S. and six (6) years experience in human resources or related field, plus one (1) year of human resources experience, or professional-level operations experience, including significant human resources work.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
  • Experience in using various cloud based compensation data management tools such as MarketPay, Pay Factors, Kenexa Comp Analyst
  • Experience in using various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Taleo, SuccessFactors, Brassring


Criteria/Conditions
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
