Job Description
Global Security is looking for a summer intern to support and assist with research and analysis across our various projects and day-to-day monitoring.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with daily monitoring of global security events/incidents, which could affect Kinross
- Undertake a global security project which adds value to the department (will be discussed upon starting)
- Provide support to the global security projects where needed
Education and Experience
- Enrolled in a university degree in 2nd or 3rd year (Politics, International Relations, Security, Criminology, or related degree)
Skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information quickly
- Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated
- Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong research and writing skills
- Flexibility to undertake various tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- Spanish, Russian, French, or Portuguese language abilities would also be an asset
