Our client is a Canadian precious metals producer with heathy exploration-stage project pipeline across the Americas and a flagship silver project in Mexico for which they are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Mine Manager.

- Oversee and implement mine operations to maximize production, considering safety and environmental controls as highest priority, improve productivity, optimize resources and costs,
- leadership on annual mine budget, production, and costs (CAPEX and OPEX) according to LOM plan.
- Develop and execute overall strategy for mine operations and development based on LOM plans, and inputs from other functional departments and experts.
- Meet/exceed the mine budget and production targets in terms of feed grade, material mined, stockpile and ore delivery to the process plant in accordance with the annual plan and budget.
- Deliver Ore tonnes and grades as in accordance with the annual plan and budget.
- Ensure maximum productivity and extraction rates by optimizing mining methods, procedures & equipment and ensure that the assets are being optimally operated as per the mine plan.
- Review data, plans, survey reports, geological data and co-ordinate with technical services and maintenance to achieve or exceed planned extractions rates and planned mine development.
- Optimize personnel, equipment, and assets to achieve designed capacities, including assisting in planning/scheduling, inventory management and contractors.
- Ensure technical compliance to the Mine plan, working within internal systems and ensure adherence to established technical and operational standards and regulatory compliances.
- Effectively manage, control, and optimize OPEX and CAPEX in accordance with approved plans.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; Mexican national preferably.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of legislation and regulations for mines in Mexico
- University degree in Mining Engineering combined with 15+ years of experience in underground precious metals mine operations.
- World class knowledge of narrow vein mining methods.
- Excellent management, team worker, leadership, and inter-personal skills with solid under ground technical background and experience across the sector.
- Team-based approach to identifying and overcoming challenges; well-developed planning and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to impact and influence management and workforce.
- Excellent ability to build relationships with internal stakeholder and across various functions, and external stakeholders and across different cultures.
