We are looking to add safety-minded drivers to our dedicated team and will provide the training necessary to operate a haul truck. Take the keys and start your career!

Essential Duties

• Operate haul trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Learn and follow safety rules, report hazards, and take responsibility for your and teammates safety.
• Demonstrate excellent listening and strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Follow established processes to complete a thorough vehicle inspection before operating equipment and communicate mechanical problems in detail to maintenance department.
• Strive to make safety the foundation to everything you do and offer suggestions for improvement when you see them.
• Take on other responsibilities and tasks in line with the role of a Haul Truck Operator.

Training & Experience

• Entry level, no experience required in mining or operating equipment.
• Able to read and write in English to complete daily reporting requirements.
• History of safe driving practices and an excellent motor vehicle record.
• Reliable, consistent work history.
• Will hire experienced operators.

Working Conditions

• You will be required to commit to 3 weeks full time training initially.
• Shifts unfilled by our full time workforce will be posted weekly for you to select the shifts and hours (8/10/12 hour shifts) you prefer on a first come basis.
• Minimum 24 hours required per month to ensure skills and safety procedures are retained.

The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role is $ 26.10 . The hourly rate is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The hourly rate offer will not be based on a candidate's wage rate history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about wage rate history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont. This role is not eligible for benefits except for as applicable by law.
