Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support our energy and water businesses. This exciting position provides an opportunity to gain strategic insight into our company and business development processes. As a part of an expanding proposal and marketing group that supports more than $4 billion in annual revenue across the US, Canada and Mexico, this internship will help you acquire marketing skills in a fast-paced and creative work environment.

Location

This position is based out of our Lenexa, KS office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling and professional presentations and materials
  • Develop marketing materials including capabilities overviews and social media posts
  • Research company project history and populate centralized experience database with relevant data and information
  • Assist in reviewing, editing, and updating website content
  • Participate in various stages of the proposal process
  • Maintain department filing systems and records using software such as SharePoint and Smartsheet
  • Other duties as needed including meeting support, document formatting, editing, printing, and shipping


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, journalism or related field
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality with attention to detail and consistency in work product
  • Excellent communication, writing, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills required; technical writing skills preferred
  • Dependable
  • Energetic and outgoing personality with the ability and desire to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work well with others; a positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to problem solve and find multiple solutions under tight time constraints
  • Ability to professionally handle constructive criticism
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe InDesign preferred.


Additional Requirements:
  • Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, this position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.


Base Compensation: $15.00/hr - $23.00/hr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
