The Opportunity:
Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking an experienced Desktop Specialist to join our IT team. This position is based in Snow Lake, MB.

This position is a Monday-Thursday schedule, 10 hours a day.

Responsibilities:

This position provides computer support to all levels within our Hudbay Manitoba Business Unit.
  • Provide support for Windows operating systems, Office Suite (Google or Microsoft) applications, Email, basic network, computer hardware, printer, and mobile device support.
  • Listen, assess and respond to urgent issues
  • Effectively operate within a multi-tasking environment. Perform duties with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others out
  • Understand and adhere to proper change control policies and practices.
  • Ability to lift and carry computers and computer monitors (up to 25 lbs.)


Prerequisites:
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of a related Desktop Support role in an enterprise with greater than 500 computers.
  • Experience in enterprise computing support tools
  • Experience in mobile device support, deployment, and configuration management
  • Microsoft MCITP: Windows 10 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician Certification, preferred
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification, preferred
  • Comp TIA A+ Certification, preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
