Asset Reliability & Engineering Manager

Summary:

The Asset Reliability & Engineering Manager is accountable for Plant Maintenance, Reliability, Process Technology and Engineering functions to deliver on safety, environmental, production, quality and cost objectives while driving continuous improvement. KPIs: Plant Availability & Reliability, Maintenance Cost, Process improvements & efficiency, Project conceptualization and delivery.

This position leads and manages the Maintenance, Reliability, Process technology and Engineering functions within the organization to ensure that resources have the capability to meet the Annual Business Plan and performance expectations, while fostering a respectful and ethical work environment that is aligned with the company's core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Provides leadership for effective development, improvements, and implementation of safety, maintenance, reliability policies

•Leads and supports development of reliability/manufacturing competencies and skills throughout the workforce, continuous development of maintenance skills and providing an environment to foster improved teamwork within and between teams/crew

•Ensures organization processes, systems and structures are operating effectively and efficiently to deliver results aligned with business expectations

•Supports plant production in a manner consistent with budget and cost targets and

•Develops budgets in cooperation with fellow managers and operations groups

•Leads the manufacturing reliability efforts, with the focus on reducing and minimizing downtime

•Leads and supports maintenance teams to improve plant operations and reliability

•Implements a Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all relevant equipment onsite

•Develops reliability and maintenance key performance metrics, creates benchmarking and communicates updates towards achieving goals/objectives

•Develops and implements capital projects to meet reliability, mechanical integrity and production standards in a safe and cost-efficient manner

•Maintains an accurate and up to date Monthly Capex Forecast Reporting for review and timely submission

•Organizes and leads monthly Capex review meetings for the site

•Establishes standards for measuring and reporting operational reliability as a reflection of robust mechanical integrity program

•Develops and implements a more robust Mechanical integrity program including but not limited to pressure equipment, piping, tanks, boilers, heaters and rotating equipment

•Develop and deply a site-wide Maintenance and Reliability program

•Create a roadmap for Technology and Equipment upgrades

•Mentor, guide and support a team that is aligned to the deliverables related to the Asset Reliability and Engineering functions

Skills/Competencies/Abilities Required

•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred

•Minimum of Ten (10) years' experience in Management of Maintenance/Reliability Teams

•Specifically Mechanical Integrity Reliability Engineering Maintenance Work Management Processes

•Shut Down/Turn Around (TAR) planning and Execution Developing and Managing Budgets

•Demonstrated ability to coach and develop people

•Demonstrated use and implementation of KPI's and metrics

•Proficiency in Process design, analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability conduct root cause analysis, life cycle costing

•Demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety

•Experience working in an MSHA regulated facility is ideal, but not required
