Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Dredge Operator
The Dredge Operator will perform all machine servicing at manufacturer's required intervals. Responsible for keeping machine operating at full capability throughout the entire shift. Will perform all routine maintenance on machine at required intervals. Must have the ability to judge ladder depth to maintain product quality and tons per hour, experience with DSC Vision is a plus. Will safely travel across water from the bank to dredge in a work boat daily.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
  • Conduct a complete pre-and post-shift safety inspection
  • Monitor density and flow meters to maintain maximum feed rate to the processing plant
  • Visually monitor production area for changes in material quality
  • Maintain dredge availability to meet or exceed planned efficiency goals
  • Ability to perform high levels of maintenance and servicing on dredge with little assistance
  • Communicate with plant operators when changes in feed rate or product quality occur
  • Communicate with plant management on all safety and maintenance needs
  • Perform cleanup and general maintenance on the dredge
  • Assist with plant repairs
  • Other job duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in mining or heavy construction environment required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working on a dredge highly preferred
  • Experience working with and on heavy equipment is preferred
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
  • Must be comfortable working on and around water
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
