Position Description:

We are looking for a Projects Superintendent at our Goldrush operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage ongoing underground construction projects associated with Goldrush exploration activities such as office and dry facilities; backfill and shotcrete plant; air control doors; underground ventilation raises; and underground electrical, utility, and water projects.
• Manage the design and eventual construction of the Goldrush surface infrastructure. To include the excavation of surface ventilation shafts, ventilation fans, underground materials handling systems, rapid infiltration basins (RIBs), dewatering discharge pipelines, roads, overhead power lines, and electrical infrastructure. Many of these projects will require management and oversight of contractors.
• Management of the detailed engineering and construction of long-term projects such as the Goldrush paste backfill system and future conveyors.
  

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in project-related field required. PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a project manager with who has successfully completed and delivered projects in the past required
• At least 5 years' experience in managing sizeable project teams or teams of project managers required
• Experience in underground mining and shaft sinking preferred
• In-depth knowledge and application of project-management tools and techniques required
• Experience working with EPCM companies required
• Demonstrated ability to create project plans and monitor their execution required
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships and work through influence required
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to assimilate complex information into easily understood communication, presentations, and resource aids required
• Experience creating and managing AFEs preferred
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office software required
• Working knowledge of SAP software preferred
