Senior / Project Engineer - Wind

Work Location: Esperance (1 year initial commitment)

Roster: Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Development Manager, this person will provide project engineering support for scoping studies of wind farm projects in and around the Esperance region.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Support the Engineering Manager in wind farm design
  • Support wind monitoring campaigns
  • Develop relationships and regularly liaise with multiple landowners, acting as the conduit between them and design engineers
  • Tracking, following up and reporting on actions progress with Perth Project Team
  • Primarily based in Esperance (company can provide housing) with visits to Perth office as required
  • Site based visits as required
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Review and comment on project technical specifications - designs, SoW, functional specifications

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in non-process infrastructure with camps, geotechnical investigations, roads and marine facilities would be preferred given the nature of the field work
  • Knowledge of agricultural operations and community interactions
  • Understanding of Wind Farm and Solar PV plant design and development
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, predominately in Word and Excel
  • Highly motivated and proactive individual, comfortable working independently as well as part of a team in a complex environment
  • Ability to present and communicate information in a clear and coherent manner
  • A high commitment to safety and zero harm
