Position summary
Infrastructure Projects (IP), a division of Downer's Australian Operations Business, continues to secure new work and build on our reputation as a market leader in delivering some of Australia's major Transport Infrastructure projects in Perth & across regional WA.

As we enter a critical growth phase and transition into a major player in the sector, we are currently seeking experienced Senior Track Project Engineers to join our progressive Rail / Civil Infrastructure team to help build sustainable, long lasting infrastructure solutions across the state of WA.

We have permanent opportunities available for both Perth metro-based construction projects and FIFO rail maintenance projects.

Your key responsibilities:

• Plan track possessions within multi-disciplined passenger / heavy haul rail environment
• Track maintenance procedures and methodologies.
• Hand back track and commissioning after construction works.
• Liaise with track machines operators and surveyors during track construction
• Track inspections and reports
• Maintenance planning
• Turnout design
• Coordinate engineering activities to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
• Work with designers to ensure constructability of designs
• Assist with the writing of Scope of works and tender documents
• Assist with preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
• Monitor construction progress against program
• Manage direct labour and sub-contractors.
• Ability to devise and manage short term project plans and resource requirements.
• Implement company OHS, QA and Environmental management systems.
• Provide direction to Site Engineers

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrated capability in Civil Construction, Engineering and Heavy Haul & Metro Rail infrastructure projects
• Maintenance / Possession planning experience within rail environments is essential.
• Experienced in Track hand back and commissioning.
• Civil Engineering Qualifications
• 10+ years experience
