About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Financial Officer/ Accountant for a part time contract, based within the Brisbane CBD. This is a full time position with competitive rates available dependent upon skills and experience. Reporting to the Regional Finance Specialist you will provide financial and administrative support to the Australia Discovery Team.
Duties will Include:
  • Provide finance and administrative support to the Team and project operation.
  • Prepare the financial statement for statutory audit.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide assistance with finance audit.
  • Raise purchase orders and prepare relevant documents for approval.
  • Prepare monthly transfer and accrual journals
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and collaborate with various teams in person or remotely.
  • Prepare monthly finance reporting and variance analysis
  • Prepare rolling forecast and annual budget
  • Monitor, review and process invoices for payment.
  • Assist with business insurance and lease matters
  • Work with supply chain with new supplier onboarding and change of payment term request
  • Liaise with the external stakeholders in terms of business contract, account payable query and purchase order.
  • Closely monitor the contract expiry date and lodge contract variation or extension request when required.
  • Monitor and prepare cash flow forecast and make cash call on a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor financial, legal and administrative governance of our client's operation against regulatory standards to ensure Company and statutory Obligations are met and to ensure compliance to administrative and financial legal requirements.
Requirements of the Role Include:
  • Qualified Accountant - University Degree - Commerce Accounting, CPA/ CA Preferred
  • SAP Experience - Highly Regarded
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel - Mandatory
  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
