Be a part of an exciting change and transformation of IT services. The Experience TDS Business Analyst will support projects as part of Teck’s Modern Workplace Program. Under the Modern Workplace Program, the Experience TDS project(s) will focus on improving how technology services are delivered to Teck’s ever evolving workforce. The deliverables will be driven from a continuous feedback loop with Teck’s business and workforce, meaning the business analyst will be able assist with the collection & presentation of requirements, relevant data, and research relating to the Experience TDS deliverables. Experience with customer experience and/or service desks is preferred. An ability to work and collaborate with a global workforce is also highly beneficial.

Key Accountabilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements and communicate different messages effectively to different audiences.
• Liaison between business, operations, and technology and innovation teams to accurately gather, analyze, document and deliver business requirements.
• Perform needs analysis based on business requirements and ensure solutions being proposed meets the organizational and business goals.
• Participate project development activities including, but are not limited to, documentation of business value drivers, analysis/research of needs, gathering, documenting and updating business outcomes and conduct information gathering sessions.
• Development of concise and professional execute presentation material.
• Adapts to changing business priorities and business needs during active design periods; and ability to keep Requirement Definitions and other documentation updated accordingly.

Key Competencies

• Bilingual Spanish is considered an asset.
• Business Analyst with 5 years of Business Analysis or other equivalent strategic planning competencies.
• Project experience in complex environments, including cross-functional, international, or cross-organizational teams and stakeholders across multiple sites, including field operations, head office and regional offices.
• Knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) is an asset.
• Mining industry experience is an asset, specifically in areas of mining, processing, maintenance and engineering operations technologies.
• Experience with IT technologies including ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Miro.
• Exceptional communications (verbal and written) skills including development of executive presentation material and business justification documents.
• Excellent analytical capabilities, problem-solving abilities and strong knowledge of business analysis techniques.
• Ability to work comfortably with a high degree of autonomy in an environment of fast paced change and a highly distributed team.
• Highly drive, effective, versatile and action-oriented.
• Proficient in the use of and other tools used to capture business processes and create road maps.
