We are now on the hunt for an Engineering Surveyor to join our team based in Gisborne.

You'll be expected to add value to an experienced team with their surveying expertise and be a key connection between the designers and the construction teams and therefore requires prompt and reliable delivery of surveying needs, whilst ensuring clear communication to our teams.

About the role
As an Engineering Surveyor you'll be primarily responsible for pavements and civil design related aspects of Downer's works within the Central region.

This includes undertaking scoping of pavement rehabilitation sites and minor civil structures, leading the investigations planning & supervision, asset data collection, design analysis, risk identification, construction methodology input, documentation and post construction evaluation.

You'll also be required to take a leadership role for the coordination and delivery of the pavement and civil designs for the design team from various internal clients and providing mentoring to junior design engineers and cadets with various technical queries.

You'll also take your skills and knowledge to help develop and provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to other surveyors and cadets.

About you
As an experienced Surveyor, you'll bring with you a passion for the civil construction industry and a tertiary Engineering qualification (or equivalent), you'll bring your proven industry experience.
