Contracts and Procurement Specialist - Projects

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

Reporting into the Contracts Manager FFI, you will support the contracts and procurement process for FFI, assisting with contract execution, delivery and through to close out.

This position will best suit individuals who thrive on going above and beyond and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate tender packages for Works, Capital Equipment and services
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget
  • Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established Project Controls and Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures
  • Develop well written, well-structured procurement documentation that supports the project requirements
  • Identify and maximise cost saving opportunities
  • Generate reports and analysis to support procurement decision-making
  • Identify and evaluate key risks at a contract formation and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g. technical, legal etc.)

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, business, law, or construction desirable.
  • At least 5 years of Contracts experience within Mining/Energy on large scale projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple packages
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement across multiple disciples internal and external
  • Self-motivator, with strong initiative who takes pride in their work
  • Candidates must be able to bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking, and be prepared to work outside of their comfort zone.
