Job Description:

Under the direction of the Environmental Superintendent or designate, the incumbent will be responsible for performing sampling and monitoring of clarifier, potable water treatment plant, tailings management facilities and sewage plants. He/she will assist with departmental initiatives, ensuring the mine is complying with all environmental regulations. Key tasks will include data entry, environmental inspections and audits, monitoring of flow meters/water levels, water quality, potable water, effluent and receiver monitoring stations sampling.

Preference will be given to applicants with Potable Water Operator In Training (OIT) certification. You must be able to communicate clearly. Applicants must also be able to work alone and in a team and possess a high level of self-motivation. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required. Applicants must also have the ability to work in a high-pressure environment, possess a strong work ethic, manage multiple tasks, resolve conflicts and problem solve collaboratively. Applicants must also possess a valid Ontario driver's license.

The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of base salary, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan and travel allowance.
