NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.

As an experienced Safety Administrator reporting to the Senior Safety Advisor, your role is to effectively deliver accurate and timely administration support to the SHE Team and contribute greatly to the successful and safe delivery of the NEWest Alliance. Support, coordinate and provide advice on safety practices, systems and procedures account the NEWest Alliance.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Track activities against role & responsibility profiles and report on performance
  • Coordinate Monthly Performance Reporting
  • Enter and extract data from incident management system
  • Maintain regular visibility across the workplace, building relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Build awareness of a safety culture among the NEWest Alliance Management team, and actively contribute to its development so that SHE is the primary driver of all behaviour
  • Support the NEWest Alliance team to consider safety requirements throughout the project planning and delivery and implement appropriate safety controls.
  • Participate in the project induction and on-boarding process.
  • Develop a clear understanding of personal accountabilities, expectations, role purpose and alignment with project objective.

ABOUT YOU
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
  • 12 months + Relevant experience in an administration role
  • Knowledge of project risk management controls and actions
  • Knowledge of auditing, safety inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes
  • Initiative and multi tasking ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong excel skills
