About the role
As our Contract Engineer, you will be a part of a team that designs, builds, and maintains 25,000 kms worth of roads in Aotearoa. With over 150 years of projects and knowledge under our belts, our vision is innovative and future focused. We are building sustainable communities that you can be proud to say that you have been a part of producing.
With our current and future opportunities, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Contract Engineer to join our team based in Auckland. We have some exciting projects on the go and we would like you to be part of our great team.
Your role will be to assist in managing all aspects of the maintenance and construction projects, reporting directly to the Project Manager. You will aid in the planning and delivery of projects within the contract requirements, optimise resource use and achieve target results to the client's satisfaction, on time and within budget, championing a Zero Harm work culture. You will ensure stakeholder relationships are enhanced and built within area and surrounding stakeholders.

About you

- Leadership skills with managing 2-3 direct reports
- Experience in Site and / or Project Engineer roles for 3 - 5 years
- Excellent use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experienced in project financial management and reporting
- Current Full Drivers' License
- Ability to work across geographical boundaries
- Preferably hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or working towards one
- Experience within Maintenance Contracts advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all team members
