Position Description:

We are seeking a Database Geologist to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will be someone who has practical field experience with precious metals exploration and drill program and geological database experience.

Reporting to the VP, Exploration, the candidate will work very closely with the entire technical team supporting the Company’s various projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the technical services team on the exploration drilling program including but not limited to exploration data generation, drill database management, and geological maps and sections generation to assist management and site exploration teams
  • Assist IR team with geological figures generation and review for corporate presentation
  • Contribute to comprehensive exploration targets and plans including compilation of historical data, managing and analyzing site database, and historical core reviews
  • Assist with the technical aspects of the Company’s projects including but not limited to, resource modelling, engineering and estimation, due diligence and data auditing etc.
  • Contribute to geological interpretation of structures information and deposits including data compilation, integration and 3D modelling
  • Manage standards and procedures when generating and analyzing data
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Geology
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a similar role with significant exposure to operations within the mining industry
  • Registered Professional Geologist in Canada or equivalent considered a strong asset
  • Advanced knowledge of mining software package, i.e. Micromine, Datamine, Surpac, Leapfrog or similar
  • Proficient user of GIS software, i.e ArcGis and/or Mapinfo or similar
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to ever changing high-demand work environment including willingness to spend time in the field

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Spanish fluency and experience working in Latin America

Job Demands/Physical Requirements:

  • Travels to other destinations for potential projects may be required
  • Our Silver Sand project is located in Potosi Department, Bolivia at high elevation.
