We are looking for Dewatering Operator to assist in the maintenance and development of the dewatering infrastructure to achieve advanced dewatering across the mine site.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing operations team. This opportunity offers a great work life balance with a wide selection of home bases including Perth, Busselton and Derby. Working an 8 days on, 6 off roster and reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, you will be:
  • Operating all dewatering equipment safely and competently
  • Installing, monitoring and maintaining dewatering equipment
  • Constructing poly pipelines
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in the equipment or work procedures
  • Fostering a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, we require:
  • HR Western Australian driver's license
  • Poly welding experience and ticket
  • Experience operating dewatering infrastructure
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small proactive team
  • Desire to deliver work to a high standard
  • Dogging (DG) and Crane Ticket (CV)
  • Working with submersible pumps (Installation and removal)
  • IT Loader, 30t Excavator and forklift ticket preferred

Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
