Job title: HSE Coordinator

Company: Globally Recognised Mining Engineering and Construction Company

Location: Nevada

Roster: 66 hour working week (Mon - Sat) 4 weeks on, 1 week off (unpaid)

Salary: $100k - $140k plus incentives

Scope: Substantial Mine Site Operation

Reports to: HSE Manager

The Opportunity: This position would suit someone who has 5 years+ OH&S experience in a mining/construction/heavy industry environment that would consider relocation to Northern Nevada as part of their next career move.


  • Weekly safety coordination meetings
  • Management and report workplace hazards
  • Management of risk assessments
  • Improve safety culture
  • Pre-Mobilization meetings
  • Ensure appropriate certifications
  • Review subcontractors work plans
  • Contractor risks assessments
  • Manage client & contractor safety representatives
  • Site safety inspections, HSSE audits
  • Incident investigations
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain permits



  • 5 years experience in OH&S, preferably in construction/heavy industry/mining
  • Implementation of Corporate OH&S policies and initiatives
  • Proven ability to work with and coordinate the OH&S activities of sub-contractor
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to prepare and communicate OH&S reports both internally and to the client
  • Experience in using Windows applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems
  • OHSAS 18001 knowledge of standards and requirements
  • Experience in developing and delivering training material
  • Diploma in Health and Safety, Masters of Science and/or Safety Designation preferred
  • A team player
