About this role:

What will you be responsible for?

This position is responsible for assisting Tax Management with the preparation of federal, state and international income tax returns. Role will also be a resource for taxaudits, tax accounting and research and planning functions.

Your role will consist of:

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

• Preparation of federal and International tax returns and related work papers (forms 1120, 1065, 8865, 5471, etc.)
• Assist in computation and preparation of quarterly federal and state tax estimated payments and annual extensions
• Prepare fixed asset work papers and update tax depreciation software.
• We use tax return software to prepare federal and international tax returns.
• We assist with the research of federal, international tax issues as appropriate.
• Interface effectively with other members of the accounting department to ensure vital tax information is efficiently generated.
• We support the Company's tax accounting, research and planning and controversy group
• We assist on various tax projects as needed

Your training, skills, and experience checklist:

Here is what we would need to see from you!

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or related field
• Some previous tax experience
• Solid understanding of commonly used tax concepts, practices and procedures within the area of International tax compliance.
• Exposure to US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns and state tax returns
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and works well in team environment.
• Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft office products
• CPA not required, but preferred (or in progress)
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills

The position is located in the Denver corporate office and will have a hybrid schedule of in-office and work from home environment.

The salary range offered for this role is $ 64,500.00 - 72,765.00 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
