Job Description
Kinross is looking for a current Business/Finance student, with an ability to work effectively in both a team environment and individually, to assist the Corporate Tax department during Summer, 2020.
Job Responsibilities
- Canadian corporate tax return preparation for inactive / non-operating Canadian entities. Following last year's file, and with coaching from the Senior Analyst, Tax, this assignment involves the collection of the key information required to prepare the tax return, completing the tax return, and putting together a well documented/referenced file.
- Support the Canadian corporate tax return preparation process for operating / material Canadian entities, at the direction of the Tax Manager or Senior Analyst, Tax. Provide support in the final assembly process.
- Assist the tax team members in preparation of various Canadian exempt surplus calculations for each Kinross foreign subsidiaries.
- Assist with CRA summer audits
- Other ad-hoc requests from the tax group as required
Education and Experience
- 4th year students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Tax or Accounting. Those pursuing MTAX will also be considered.
- Experience with tax preparations would be an asset

- Proficient with Microsoft Office
