Trainer & Assessor (OPF)
Work Location: Iron Bridge
Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D/6R, 7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth
During this exciting time at Fortescue, with innovation projects changing the way we work in mining, we are currently seeking a qualified trainer and assessor with substantial Ore Processing Plant and Concentrator Handling Facility experience to join our team of Trainers/Assessors. This position will provide the Training and Assessing requirements to our Ore Processing Facility and Concentrator Handling Facility.

During this exciting time at Fortescue, with innovation projects changing the way we work in mining, we are currently seeking a qualified trainer and assessor with substantial Ore Processing Plant and Concentrator Handling Facility experience to join our team of Trainers/Assessors. This position will provide the Training and Assessing requirements to our Ore Processing Facility and Concentrator Handling Facility.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivery of OPF/CHF Training and Assessing
- Delivery of FMG Specific Training and Assessments including Verification of Competency Assessments.
- Facilitation of classroom-based Training and Inductions
- Delivery of National Units of Competency, Safe Working at Height, Enter and Work in Confined Spaces, Gas Test Atmospheres, Telescopic Handler, Overhead Gantry Crane
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision
- Well organised and excellent time management skills with strong attention to details skills
- Hands on approach to teamwork, positive attitude and superior customer service skills are essential
- Administrative and scheduling duties as required
Qualifications and skills required:
- Current Certificate IV Training and Assessment or Current Assessor's Skill Set
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience within the OPF, including proven operational experience.
- Previous comparable equipment experience
- Current C Class Licence
- High Risk Work Licences for DG, LF, WP, RB
- Current Safe Working at Height, Enter and Work in Confined Spaces, Gas Test Atmospheres, Telescopic Handler, Overhead Gantry Crane National Units of Competency
- Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and SAP (essential)
